User Restrictions

E-mail Print PDF

Many companies are faced with the need to limit the rights of users to access folders and prohibit the use of user-defined programs. To address these challenges using a network domain controller, which provides limited access, management of user rights, governs security policy.

Restricting access

Installing and configuring the server is running Windows 2003 Server. Using the computer system will allow the domain controller:

  • Centralized management of user stations and other resources
  • Manage user rights (the restriction of user rights to install / use programs)
  • Control access to information (limitation of access to files and folders)
  • Ensure the stability of the network programs

Restricting access using user accounts

On the domain controller accounts are created with an individual password for each user. In each account the rights of users can be configured in such a way as to give employees the access level to perform their official duties. Access to files and programs in this case is limited and easily controlled by the administrator. Access to files and programs may be terminated at the discretion of the administrator. Domain structure allows you to monitor all users without exception, to avoid accidental deletion of important programs, unauthorized access to files and documents, centrally manage the use of Internet traffic. In addition to restricting access domain controller provides centralized management of user rights and workstations, and monitors the stability of the network programs. All this contributes to the efficient and smooth functioning of all network programs and allows you to monitor user activity in corporate networks.
